How do I find my watch serial number?

Back to articles Get FREE Quote

Most watches have a serial number stamped right on the case back (the back cover of the watch) — Seikos, Michael Kors, Tissot, TAG, Omega the list goes on.

The location of your watch serial number, depends on the watch.

For example, a Rolex.

To see the serial number of a Rolex you must first remove the watch band at the lugs. Once removed, on one side you have the serial number, and on the other side, you’ll find the model number stamped into the case.

For convenience sake, most watch brands stamp the serial number on the exterior of the watch for easier identification. Take your watch off and take a look at the back. You will more likely than not find the manufacturer, model number, country of origin, and serial number engraved.

Generally, the serial number helps us identify the model and year of the watch. This is useful for the identification of the exact replacement parts, and cost.
